I’ve used UniPoint and MasterControl have been the two major systems.

00:05 - 00:13
With MasterControl, it was very out of the box. So you didn't have the flexibility to kind of adapt it to your individual company's needs.

00:13 - 00:22
I found with MasterControl there was a lot of workflows that was multiple step approvals that I was just clicking through and approving things in order to get it from start to end.

00:22 - 00:27
Unifize makes it a lot more flexible and as more cater to your specific processes. So any way that you manage the process, you can develop it and integrate it into the system. And it talks to other systems too, which is helpful to help expedite it.

00:35 - 00:47
Getting communication via email that sends you right into Unifize to approve the conversation rather than having to go into a system and look at your taskers to see what things are pending in your bucket is really helpful.

00:47 - 01:07
MasterControl is difficult and that it was piecemeal so it's almost like in frames, so you could have a discussion here but it would only involved a certain amount of people before it went to the next workflow stage. Then you could bring in more people to talk about it. But if something didn't sink or jive with everyone in that group, we would kick it back to the previous stage.

01:07 - 01:28
It's almost in like segments going back and forth, where in Unifize everyone can come in at the same time, review the document at once, collaborate simultaneously. And then of course you have the data right there in the same conversation type. So you're not looking at other external resources like your email or spreadsheets. It can all be right there, right at your fingertips.

But what we've known from what I experience was, is we were able to get there with the system. We still there with the system. The system has what is needed to provide us what we're looking for, because every company, admittedly, is trying to get compliant. If we educate people, if we get people the education that they need and to get over the fear factor, I think 90% of those things can be resolved because most people will go to what they're most familiar with. What I worked with from a different company, but they're not willing to sit down and look at what the demographics are saying. People are into social media now. People are moving fast into fast paced world. But technologies are still antiquated. So there's a disconnect here, right? So while we're moving at a fast pace at home with dragging at work, so why can't we continue that speed while we at work?If your supplier has issues and you're not informed on time, you want to have an alternate supplier in place. If your suppliers are not qualified, you may not know that that needs to happen. And so when you have an integrated system that speaks to itself and is giving you all this data, you literally have the pulse of the organization in your hands as an executive at a money bound access.
